The walnuts are starting to fall from the trees, so I thought I'd make a walnut vat.
I don't really know much about dying fabric, yet. I just keep reading bits and pieces. I wrapped a piece of cotton fabric around a stick, tied it up and let it sit for a few days.
Here's what I got!
This will lead to more experiments, I suppose.
Beautiful piece! Me too I´m not very used to dye but I tried a walnut dye last year. I like very much the colors that came out. It is a lot of fun to wrap and fold and bundle. You can get hooked so pay attention! :-)

You're right. I'm already thinking what and how I can wrap cloth up to create patterns. Stay tuned :-)
